neil stemmet is an interior designer, collector and curator, who has received acclaim for his timeless, earth friendly projects. he is known for his restaurant designs like cuvee and the van niekerk tasting lounge at simonsig and towerbosch earth kitchen at knorhoek wine estate. he has designed numerous apartments, houses and guest houses.

neil has 25 years experience in the hospitality industry. his restaurant le must in upington made style top 10 in 2004 and his guest houses le must manor and residence both also in upington, won the american express , aa travel award for best guest house (garni) in both 2007 and 2008.

at present he designs and curates projects for both local and international clients and works as a creative consultant for simonsig and knorhoek wine estates.

he loves to travel to remote corners of the globe, where he finds inspiration for his work. his work, travel stories and photographic essays have been published in major magazines like elle decoration sa, house & leisure, sawubona, real living australia, taste, design indaba magazine and conde nast house & garden.
